Champagne & Tapas Buffet at Makati Diamond Residences

Makati Diamond Residences, the posh serviced hotel across from Glorietta, brings back their ever so popular Champagne & Tapas Buffet, and I got the opportunity to check it out at Alfred, their lounge on the ground floor, before they offer it to the public later this month.

#NoBordersCuisine of James & Daughters by Le Jardin

The story of James & Daughters speaks of the unique bond that one creates through food, warmth, comfort, and most of all, love. The Ngs are a family of travelers and eaters, led by patriarch, James, whose daughters (and daughter-in-law) know only to well hot to seek out the best dishes here and overseas. And that’s exactly what they did, bringing their favorite flavors to their new restaurant in Bonifacio Global City.

Kaijo Steaks and Ramen In BF Resort Las Piñas

I’ve been back to Kaijo Steaks and Ramen a couple of times, mainly for the ramen, gyoza, and steak (of course), and have left a satisfied, full customer every single time. I find it amazing to finally have a good ramen place open in BF Resort. The fact that they also serve good steak is the icing on the cake!

Authentic Indonesian at Restoran Garuda

You really can’t miss Restoran Garuda, situated along Salcedo street, with the its simple black and white sign and the industrial-looking space you can admire form the street. I’ve sorely been missing makanan Indonesia for a while now, so when I got wind of a new Indonesian place opening right in front of the Indonesian embassy in Makati, I just had to check it out. Fortunately, two other foodie friends had the exact same idea, so off I went to meet with them on a lovely Sunday morning, ready for a heavy brunch.

Flow In the Farm for the Long Weekend

Back in September of last year, the fab ladies of Flow Retreats partnered with the beautiful ladies of Holy Carabao to host Flow In the Farm, which was a fantastic time for everyone! So, they decided to do it again. Last Saturday, Flow In the Farm part deux took place at The Farm Shed at the Acacia Waldorf School in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, with lots of fun activities for the kids, workshops for both the young’uns and their parents, holistic food vendors, and interesting little stalls at the eco market that sold everything from grow kits to all natural sunblock.

Tasting Thai In Tagaytay at Lime & Basil

We parked outside Lime & Basil Thai Restaurant’s large wooden gates with its verdant walls, and I stopped to take a quick picture of the grumpy looking wooden statue guarding the villa. To the right of the entrance looks to be the owner’s actual home, and on the left is the restaurant, surrounded by giant tropical plants. It felt like I was transported to a private villa in Ko Samui.
