Stepping out of the elevators and onto Ibiza Beach Club‘s floor, made me do a double take. Did i just walk into a club or a restaurant? And should I be dressed up or down? The 1,000-seater flagship restaurant of Manny Osmeña, fondly known simply as Manny O., officially opened its doors on April 16, Easter Sunday, and the entire 6th floor of the W City Centre has been transformed into the all-around entertainment paradise. The core idea for Ibiza Beach Club was to emulate the vibe of Eivissa – enjoying the best of both worlds in both dining and entertainment. I got a sneak peek at what was in store for guests when they visit, and I have to be honest, I had a really good time. If you’re looking for a few more reasons to check out Ibiza Beach Club in BGC, here are eight more:

1. Beach Club Vibe In the Middle of the City

The heat this #Summer2017 is debilitating, and Ibiza Beach Club’s outdoor deck provides some much needed respite, providing both a breezy spot to unwind overlooking the rest of Bonifacio Global City and the sunken lounge is just the venue to relax with friends while enjoying tapas and a big glass of sangria while the DJ get to work. Come in your chicest resorts wear and dress to impress.

2. Pride That Is Rooted In Cebu

No detail is too small at the flagship all-around entertainment restaurant of Manny O, as he tilts his hat to his first ever baby, Ibiza Mactan. Visayan pride is evident from all the furniture that has been handcrafted from Cebu to the hostess’ dresses, designed by Cebuana, Cary Santiago. The hostess’ have five different outfits that they rotate throughout the week, but their white ensemble is by far the prettiest.

3. Take a Dip In the Jacuzzi

If you feel like cooling off from the heat, as it can get quite humid in Manila this time of the year, head to the changing rooms, slip into a comfortable swimsuit, and take a dip in a jacuzzi, mimosa in hand. Slip into the water and relax after a long day at work or even on your lunch break. I’m pretty sure they won’t judge.

4. Not Your Average Salad Buffet

Can’t stay for too long? Stop by for a quick lunch and pick from a wide variety of Mediterranean salads or just make your own. They have everything from Israeli couscous to sweet potatoes with creamy dressings, lemony to light vinaigrettes, the kitchen manages to make even salads exciting.

5. The 15-Course Balearic Grill

The highlight of your dining experience at Ibiza will definitely be the signature 15-course Baleriac Grill. For Php 2,500/person (with an additional Php 600 for unlimited servings of red and white Manny O. wines), one can enjoy the salad bar or opt for a Caesar salad to start, followed by a carousel of whatever is fresh from the market. They serve up rock lobster, salmon, ribeye, beef ribs, leg of lamb, chicken thigh, pork belly, baby back ribs, and ostrich. Each type of meat is seasoned a bit differently, but still in that smoky Mediterranean fashion, and served with three types of dips – pesto, hummus, and a lemon aioli. My personal favorites which I kept asking more of are parrotfish they fly in fresh from Cebu (where else), the lamb chops, and their filet mignon wrapped in bacon.

6. Live Entertainment

The establishment has its own group called the Ibiza Beach Club Show Team composed of local artists, mostly from theater, who are products of the brand’s own artist training center, the IBC Performing Arts Academy, Inc. I really like how Manny O. thinks long term and dedicated a training center for their talents. Aside from the live bands, the group performs three different 45-minute shows, six days a week, each with different themes. One of its shows, called “At the Movies,” is a live performance of various musical numbers of Hollywood movies from different decades – from Grease to Burlesque.

7. Sweet Endings

For those with a sweet tooth, Ibiza Beach Club makes the most of the country’s abundant sweet pineapples and offers their Roasted Queen Piña for dessert, coated with cinnamon sugar before being roasted, and served with honey, fresh yogurt, and crushed nuts. If you would rather drink your dessert calories, I highly recommend that you check their cocktail menu for Mimosa, Red Sangria, Vodka Martini, or their signature drink, the Ibiza Sour.

8. Affordable Brunch Specials

The Ibiza Beach Club isn’t just open for dinner. Pop by for a power lunch and enjoy a 3-course (Php 1,000 nett) or 4-course (Php 11,000 nett) Executive Lunch Special with seven choice meats to satisfy a voracious appetite, available Monday through Saturday from 11am to 2pm.
